Merry christmas...
12:05 PM
Monday, December 26, 2005 Well before i tell you about my 'merry' christmas here is a warning: ********************************************** TO all who do not like to think of Christmas as a bad day to anybody or do not like to hear sad stories: KEEP OUT FROM THIS ENTRY ********************************************** WEll honestly, only my Christmas Eve was a bit more appealing. We had a nice feast and played games and got presents. Ya and that is where the problem came. I spent a whole lot of time thinking of gifts to buy for them, and in return i get a $50 to spent on my own will. How unthoughtful do you think that is?!? I mean, ya it is nice to get to pick your own gift. But i hate seeing other people with thoughful gifts and all so happy and i have money to spend. I was telling myself I'd accept anything as a present, but i didn't think on Christmas, anyone would give you a small cute red packet with money for you to buy your own gift. And what is more, I hate the idea that i put in so much effort in saving up to buy something for Daddy, Mummy and John and making little stuff for them and in return none of them gave me anything for Christmas(Never mind John, he is four.) but a terrible day(read on). ANd what is more, my Daddy and Mummy will definitely ask to keep that $50 for something else in my future. So, in short, NO CHRISTMAS PRESENT after i spent effort on other people's presents. On Christmas Day, since we stayed up real late, I woke up to hear Mummy grumbling about my brother. My brother is rather sick, with a bad stomach and all. Well, the thing I didn't think she would do whilst her son is sick is to organise a hiking trip. YA, HIKING... I didn't mind much, until I got a bad stomachache and headache after hiking near 10km. I didn't grumble, I just walked on, until Daddy and Uncle decided to let us wait there by the road while they got on and get the car. We waited for an hour and a half, till Mummy called Daddy, and he says they don't allow the cars to get in. ANd well, we walked through that totally 'not-so-long way' to get to the car and then the Christmas Dinner Feast was canceled to, due to my brother getting a bit feverish. And while my uncle and his family goes off for a nice feast, i eat nothing. Seriously, i rather eat nothing than to continue eating plain porridge OR plain noddles for Christmas Dinner yet again since my brother got his upset stomach. Ya, what a wonderful 'merry christmas'... I hope yours was better, i mean, what Christmas can get worst than my dumb Christmas? |

MY new school
10:26 AM
Friday, December 23, 2005 YES! After praying and worrying and anxiety, i finally managed to get into my DREAM SCHOOL...Three cheers guys! Three cheers! I am dead beat over the anxiety today, so I promised myself to accept any result I get(though daddy insist that if i don't get into Nanyang, we are going there to appeal. :P) Well at first i talked to Shinyi on the phone that we are supposed to exchange our results and tell each other which school we get posted to, but Shinyi had to back out last minute for some reasons which are highly acceptable(Don't worry le lah, Shin...). ANyway, it is a moment of joy... But it is rather upseting to see others sad and disappointed...TO my friends who are unhappy with your posting results, don't fret... I am sure under our good teachers' care, you will shine in your school! :) ANd to my friends who have good posting results: YAHOOOO...but of course you guys will do very well in your schools too! Actually, I didn't really dare look at my results...now regretted for that hesitation... I looked at Germaine's First(:P) and then peeped at mine. Then when i saw a 'Nanya'(which is part of Nanyang...) I was overjoyed and seeing this Germaine knew which school i am posted to...(GOOD OLE GERMAINE! :)) ANd later i am going to edit the part of my particulars saying school! :) I am proud of myself...:) But of course, i will know my limits and not take drugs when i am high or whatever and jump off the rooftop or whatever stupid things.(Ae Dionne, this sound like Ah Ding leh... :P) I will also not let this happiness wash over my determination of doing well in my secondary school... WEll, gtg le. Just hope that I will get to get at least one classmate or pal in the same class as me...I think June is possible, she got the same mark as me... But even if I can't, I will make sure I make friends(of course, not bad ones. I will choose friends wisely...) And to my good buddies and pals, Make new friends, keep the old. ONe is silver the other is gold! I will never forget you guys and i am sure i will keep in contact with each and everyone of you!(Though it is easier said than done...) Cheers pals, There is always a bright side to everything! :) |

Countdown 1 day!
12:41 PM
Wednesday, December 21, 2005 Countdown: 1 Day to receiving Posting results! :) Well Feeling now is nervous! I mean what do you expect? My dream of getting into my dream school depends on it ok? Um...now that sounds familiar. oH ya i know i mentioned it before when i was counting down to receiving PSLE results. But it is ok wat. Both contributes ok. I really hope i can get into My dream school lah...*fingers crossed* I am sure a few of you guys reading this will have a same feeling. Daddy says it is okay at least i try my best and he sees that in me. :) But mummy says if i had a few more marks more, she will be over the moon and we wouldn't be worrying over whether i can get into my dream school anot. SIGH. I feel so stuck in the middle. If i had a mark lower and i know i had no chance then i could be feeling something better than this anxious feeling. ANyway, daddy says if i didn't get in, he will bring me to appeal. Well, Daddy says that leaves me with pretty much chance cause if i don't get in, the mark difference can't be much. Anyway, wish me luck! And i am thinking of having a site where i give u guys visitor gifts... Thinking only hor. Cause i did a couple of things that i think i can give to u guys... :) Well when tomorrow comes, i hope i will be feeling better. ANd anyway, to guys who are feeling the same, good luck to you guys! :) And to friends of course: We will be friends forever, even if we are in different schools! :) And as usual the updates for this week: New link: Ching Hun got his own blog. Check it out. Starring Jay. And of course tag if you want. New Segment: Lost in time? The Time/Date segment tells u the time and date and of course currently a countdown to Christmas and a countdown to my birthday so pals don't forget my present hor! :P OK. Off to lunch le! Nice day! :) |

Sorry Guys!
1:06 PM
Tuesday, December 20, 2005 Well guys, sorry for missing in the posting for sooo long. I am sure i was busy at some trival matters. Anyway, i have created a few welcome signs for anybody's blog or website. I know it is not a very good one- i am a beginner at creating these stuff. And thanks to Shinyi for offering to use one of them.... :) There are a few designs: ![]() I call this Sunny. But as in Shinyi's blog it is pink. ![]() I call this Bright. IT is a bit classical. ![]() Well this is grass. THe green looks quite alike though, but i still think it is not bad. ![]() I call this PINk. That is because it is very pinky. ANd if you think this is Shinyi's you are wrong! HEr's is Sunny in PInk...Haha ANd last but not least: ![]() One of my favourites, this is called Sky. Ya that is because of its colour. IT looks pretty plain but you know how a beginner start off with these... ANd if by some luck of mine that anyone wants one, I'll be glad to do one for you! :) You can request to change the colour scheme and the wording. Just tag at my tagboard and i will make sure i do it ASAP... And meanwhile, i will get down into doing some more designs... Promise to come back soon! :) |

What's happening here
11:30 AM
Tuesday, December 13, 2005 OK...here is a 'briefing' of what is going on here at this blog. 1. The Poll After more than one week i think, the poll ends today! The winner is Suu, with 3 votes compared to a few others who has 2. The rest either got 1 or 0. Never mind, it is pretty unfair for a few of my friends because they joined in my links page pretty late, so they aren't involved in the poll. And a couple of people who passed by and did not vote. So till next time,we will have our Poll again, to see whose blog is most popular!( Do not vote for Urself! Haha.) And Congrats to Suu! :) 2. The Drawing Board After the Poll ended, the 'others' column is pretty empty. So we shall have our drawing board back again! I am sure Lav is pretty excited, since she loved the board sooo much. The board is used for us to leave our footprints by drawing or by handwriting a personal message. ( INstead of the tagboard) I really hope you guys can leave a message(don't forget to quote your name!) before you leave this blog. To do so, you can press the circle to enlarge the thickness of the pen. Use white and u can erase the previous message.( you can use other colours for background effects too!) IF you have space to write a message in the board, Do NOT erase the page, just write ur message on the same page. OK? 3. Welcome! Let's welcome the new people on our links list! They are Lew Yu, Der Yoh(slyvia's friend), Felicia and Huan Xian( who appears on the list as 'Shinyi's brother'). I hope I can add new people on the list! :) And if you guys have friends who don't mind me linking them, Please tell me their names and blog address so that i can link them to my ever-so-empty links page! :) Thanks! Alright, that is about all. Thanks to all who are supporting me! Thanks to you guys, my blogpatrol is hitting 100 soon...(currently 92 while i am writing this.) And thanks to those who have voted for your favourite blog! And congrats to Suu again for winning ' Most Popular Blog Award'! :P Happy Day! :) |

MORE!
9:45 AM
Friday, December 02, 2005 I thought that some of you might find that friendship bracelet a bit tough and too time taking or too many strings. So today, i found a far more easier one for guys who like simple yet nice things.Of course it isn't as nice as the previous one ( that is wat i think), this is not bad too! This friendship bracelet is a simple one that can be done with kind of cord, strings, embroidery floss etc. IF you have too many beads to spare you might want to knot in a few beads in the middle...(but i don't think the effect is good.) You Need: 6' of Rainbow Satin Cord Four Mini Pony Beads Masking Tape Scissors Again, the measurement 6' is not vital, so as long as you can make it fit you or your friends' wrist! As for mini pony beads, if you don't have, you can use big ones, so as long as they fit! Instructions: 1.Fold cord so you have one 1' length and one 5' length. Tie a knot at the fold to form a 1/2" loop. If you are not sure with the measurements, perhaps you can take a 60cm string and do 10cm in replacement of 1' and 50cm for 5' and so on. 2.Your 1' length with be your holding cord and the 5' cord will be your working cord. Tape the looped fold to your work surface and the end of your holding cord to the table. You must make sure you tie a loop on the first step, or you won't be able to wear it! It is simple, just bend in the string(with the correct measurements at each side) and tie a knot! ![]() 3.Make a knot by laying your working cord over top of the holding cord; then passing it underneath the holding cord and through to loop formed. Pull snugly. Continue knotting, letting the cord twist naturally as you work. Be careful to always knot in the same direction. Ya i know that it a bit complicated, but it means you tie knot from top and then bottom then top then bottom and so on... when i say top and bottom i mean of the holding cord. 4.When you have a long enough bracelet to fit around you wrist, string two mini pony beads onto each end. Trim ends. Tie on your wrist by drawing one end through before knotting. That is a simple one... i will show you what it means with a picture:
And to give credits, i would just like to say i learnt this from :
OK so long, till i teach you guys stuff again! :P |

Friendship BANDS!
5:22 PM
Thursday, December 01, 2005 Oh god! I was thinking about how it was so sad to end a friendship with your friends in Primary School so i thought about making friendship bands...But i was sure my friends(and me) were sick and tired of my old kind...so i went to the internet to look for new ones and saw instructions to make friendship bracelets! ISn't that a perfect idea? Imagine, everytime your friends wear your bracelet they think of you? SO i would like to share with you the way to makin': ~Cool Friendship BraceLEts~ OK YOu would need: -6 strands of yarn (or embroidery thread) each 24" (60 cm) long. -Each strand represents a letter in the word F R I E N D. -You may choose any colors you like. I don't think the measurements are that important...i think so as long as it is a multiple of six or something cause there are six strings or watever...AHHH i dunno...best stick to the measurements. Steps:
In case you didn't know what an overhand knot is, it is like as in the picture...the one leaving the top of the string or yarn or rope( i dun think rope can work) loose at the top of the knot. IF you still don't know...well i suggest you ask sumone close for help(esp. mothers or grandmas who are professionals in sewing or knots)
That means, if you don't understand fully, u hold on tight to string R and pull string F up until it the knot is tightened...usually if you can't pull string F anymore...(pls be careful or you will end up continue pulling and pulling until ur string or yarn or watever splits... <---jokin' again.)
3.Make a second knot the same way with string F over and around string R. Pull up on F to tighten. I know that is a little confusing... it means you follow the picture. Do not worry: although you might not see the pervious knot in the picture it is there ok. SO do not freak out and untie the first knot... :P <-- Ya tat means i am jokin' The two knots refer to the knots you learn to make in step 2 to 3. ok? But this time do it on the string I and NOt string R...or string R will overload. :P<--OK u know it. I am jokin' I think for once the instruction is clear enough. It means you repeat steps 2 to 3 with the strings E, N and D. Don't ask me what about the strings R and I...You know that you are already done with them! :P<--- sry for fooling around but i can't help it.
6.Continue the next row by taking the first string on the left, now string R, and making two knots over and around each of the other strings I, E, N, D and F. With each row the string on the left is worked over to the right side. I know the picture is too fast... OK i should have stopped at string F but just to let you see the results OK... But i think u can understand the instruction...so i won't explain it in detail again ok... (to prevent fooling around) Hey, NOt yet done! 7.When you have woven enough to fit around your wrist, tie another overhand knot to complete. To wear the bracelet, tie the two ends together in a square knot and trim the extra strings. In this case, if you are doing for a friend, you friend's wrist ok. I don't know about the square knot thing...But i think you can replace it with another overhand knot...cause it will work too...or else you can tie the ends together. Sry but i really don't know. BUt however, if you happen to be an expert in knots, pls tell us what it means! Or, if you have an expert in knots near you, help us ask her or him! I belive i will thank you greatly! :) Till next time( i know you are sick and tired of this phrase...) |

Party!
4:32 PM
Today was a great and sunny day! :) We went to Mdm Toh(chinese teacher)'s condo to party! No lah, we only went to a room to eat and play badminton, handphone and table tennis...:) The guys also went to her house to play X-box! ANyway, the security guard keep chasing us to windy places to play badminton...Come ON! WHO PLAYS BADMINTON IN A WINDY PLACE? I'd say that security guard has no experience in badminton. I mean it is nice to call us to a windy place to cool down, but we are playing BADMINTON! The ball goes with the wind! HELLO, DEAR SECURITY GUARD?!? Anyway, me, Shinyi and Brenda then went to see the guys play X-box...come on, it is REALLY Boring ok...I am not thick-skinned as to flirt around like tat...so do my friendS! Well they were playing soccer, then soon when we went down to get our bags the rest of the girls also wanted to come up...this is the funny part: THe guys all wanted to choose Arsenal so it was : Arsenal 2:1 Arsenal How funny was it? Except the fact that the 'players' ( the characters in the game) were wearing different colour shirts, one red one blue, they were the same...as in the players were the same in each team...HAHA. And It was real funny when the Red Team scorer kicked run into the goal with the ball and the goalkeeper for the other team(Blue) just walked horizontally away! LOL i mean, if it happened in actual life, i would have died laughing...(maybe it is nice to die that way...) ANd what's more, IT ACTUALLY COUNTED! That's where the '2' come from... Then afterwards, the Red Team player was rough and had to give a free kick to the BLue team. The guy who is playing red team(Solomon i think...) kept moving his player from left to right cause the boys were having different opinions so in the end the four virtual players were moving left to right in a kind of unhappy and 'sick and tired of you' way. That got us laughing...it was nice to laugh with friends...Really it is far better than laughing alone (maybe people will consider sending you to MI, that is why... :P <---jokin' ). Then the guys got sick of virtual and went to kick in teams themselves... so Mdm Toh brought us to this park called Zheng Hua Park if i am not wrong(if i am please bash me up cause i am sick and tired of living :P). When we had to kind of Jaywalk across, Eunice Chiam and i almost got knocked down by a blue taxi! Then when we went back to call SOme girls who were left in the condo, me and Eunice Chiam almost got knocked down by a blue car...OK OK BLUE IS my favourite colour ok...how can it be so unlucky? THe boys kicked their freaking ball while the girls went to the nice nice 'scavanger' kind of playground...you know, the one with the ropes and nice stuff? (OK i am NOT good at describing...so if you don't then i tell you it is something like the ones in West Coast Park...) It was sooo fun! Except the swing cause i kept pushing people till i didn't have a chance so when shinyi asked on my behalf for a chance i got up...and i wished i hadn't afterwards... Why? DON'T ASK! OK ok...i fell from the swing. OK OK i know how clumsy i am, you don't have to scold me! ( Don't bother anyway, cause right after you scold me i will trip from going up the stairs.) Ya then we took the LRT home... :) The GIRLS ONLY cause the boys were 'sick and tired' of us, so they decided to go home in unison at 4PM... OK that is about all...Well at least i am home ALIVE...I should have died there... *sigh* <--Jokin' I will not scare Mdm Toh like tat, after how nice she was today... :) BUt sadly, i am covered with bruises(some of them kicked me when i dropped off the swing...i mean it is not their fault, they can't stop the swing. ) ALright, nice day... i wonder how bored i would be if i was at home...but never mind that, i think staying at home would be worst than dropping off the SWING...! At least the drop was memorable! :) How often do you drop from swings? HAHA...I am glad i had this chance. :P OK BYE! TIll Next time, cause i am off to rest! :) |
